Missing teeth reduce your ability to smile and enjoy the foods that you want to eat. When there are many missing teeth your overall health may be affected as you can no longer eat a correct diet. Options to replace missing teeth are:

  • Removable dentures supported by either teeth or dental implants
  • Bonded bridges
  • Conventional bridgework supported by teeth
  • Crowns or bridges supported by dental implants

Dental implants allow you to replace your missing teeth with a titanium screw placed into the jaw bone. A prosthesis, such as crowns, is attached to the implant.

Selecting the right option for you requires a careful assessment of your remaining teeth and jaw bone, gum health and bite. We use regular digital x-rays and advanced CT images as well as moulds, jaw movements and photographs to complete an assessment.

If you are missing all your teeth, or your remaining teeth are not suitable to be kept, dental implants may be your best option to restore normal function to your mouth.

A consultation with Aloha Dental will enable us to evaluate your case carefully over several appointments, to assist you in making an informed decision about the options to replace  missing teeth.
